Planning

The Planning Sub Group is one of the first of it’s kind, and a model for other Neighbourhoods

It meets regularly to comment on all the planning applications for the area.

Why is this group necessary?
A new law now expects developers to consult with local people at an early stage before putting in a planning application. A procedure for this is now in place and we have had pre-application discussions with two developers. Once discussions are completed, a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), signed by the developer and the planning group, is then submitted with the planning application.

How we work
The group speaks on behalf of Residents of St Pauls. How do we know we are doing so? Our guide is the Neighbourhood Plan, with its detailed targets. However we need more residents on the Group. At the moment, it consists of three residents (names?), plus representatives from SPUCP, Bristol Eastside Traders, Portland & Brunswick Squares Association and Bristol City Council. We meet at St Agnes Lodge. If we you are interested in joining the group or if you would like to,
Please contact us on 903 9934
