Introduction to Administration (BTEC Award Level 1)

This course is aimed at adults who wish to develop practical skills at entry level business administration and confidence in using IT

By the end of the course students will be able to carry out routine entry level administrative tasks and create a series of office based computer generated documents.

The course aims to provide a confidence in navigating and searching the Internet, as well as understanding issues of copyright, plagiarism, and health and safety as a computer user.

City of Bristol College also offer lots of other courses including admin and business courses at level 2 and up – so there are lots of options for further study too!

The Ashley, Easton and Lawrence Hill Neighbourhood Partnership would like to hear from residents or businesses interested in taking up any of the following 8 available places:

Resident members

• Easton Ward
  There are 3 places for residents who live in the ‘lower Easton’ part of the Easton ward – this includes Whitehall/Greenbank down to Chelsea Road/Albion Road and the railway (the railway is the ward boundary). 
• Lawrence Hill Ward
  1 place for a resident from Redcliffe
• Ashley Ward
  1 place for a resident from St Werburghs

Business members

• 1 retailer from Lawrence Hill ward
• 2 non retail businesses in the NP area
• national retailer

New members will join existing members – a large and diverse group from across the three wards. The Neighbourhood Partnership meets four times a year. From June meetings will be on a Tuesday, 6.30-9.30pm. You must be able to attend these meetings plus the Neighbourhood Forum in your area. It is helpful but not essential if you can be contacted by email. Neighbourhood Partnership members are  ‘champions’ (not ‘representatives’) - having a voice for the area, bringing experience and insight to the work of the partnership and telling others about it. Please don’t be shy - if you are interested please do get in touch. You will be asked to write something about yourself which will go to the Neighbourhood Forum.  If there are more people than places it will be the Forum that decides.  There is no deadline but the earlier people come forward the sooner you will be able to get involved.
